I think I did well on the writing question, but depends how they view it. It was a bit of a curve, but I created a backstory within my email. The directions were brief, so I took the liberty to make assumptions that would allow for a creative response.

It seems that they liked it well enough. I received an admit offer this morning.
I am very excited to receive my first offer, and very much appreciate the well run process with RSM.

JMM

That's great news! Congrats, JMM!

I completed my KIRA assessment. Got the following questions (not the exact wording) -

1. What is the biggest roadblock you faced in your career? What did you learn from it?

2. Have you dealth with people from different cultures/races/countries? How will these experiences help you when you work in a team project?

3. (Written) Write an email as CEO of a company mentioning that you would need to shift the focus of 20% of the employees to a new product.

My Experience -
My KIRA didn't go as smooth as I expected. My timing was off in the 1st question. For the 2nd question, KIRA didn't record my answer and it got stuck. I had to refresh the page, which resulted in a different question to show up. The written was okay. However, my fingers are crossed and hopefully I kill it in the in-person interview!

My suggestions -
- Practice giving answers on the platform cause keeping a track of time can be tricky. The practice questions that KIRA provides changes everyday, which is helpful.
- Most of the questions, are generic situational ones. So be ready with examples for various situations before hand.
- For the written take time to proof read

Hope this helps!

The figure above represents a box that has the shape of a cube. What is the volume of the box?
Any regular figure, that is any figure with all sides equal, will just require any one dimension, length, diagonal, altitude, area or volume to know the remaining as all are based on one variable, that is side.
Same is the case here in cube.

(1) PR = 10 cm
Diagonal of a side is known-> sides can be known-> volume can be calculated.
side = \(5\sqrt{2}\).. Volume = \((5\sqrt{2})^3\).

(2) \(QT = 5\sqrt{6}\) cm
QT is the diagonal of cube = \(\sqrt{3*side^2}=side\sqrt{3}=5\sqrt{6}...side=\) \(5\sqrt{2}\).. Volume = \((5\sqrt{2})^3\).

could you kindly elaborate on the equation more please?

Is x an integer? (1) x + 5 is an integer. (2) x/(1/4) is an integer.

(2) x/(1/4) is an integer.

x+5 = Integer
x= Integer - 5=Integer.
yes x is an integer Sufficient.

ii) Means 4x an integer: x could be 1 or \(\frac{1}{4}\)
Not Suff.

So only A is suff.

Balakumaran19, hope it's clear.

In a quadratic equation ax^2 + bx + c = 0.
The sum of the roots = -b/a
The product of the roots = c/a.
therefore c/a should be equal to 3 (satisfied in all 3)
and -b/a is the sum of both the roots, since the roots are integral III is not possible.

I have not taken a mock CAT yet, but I will take that ASAP to see how that goes.

On what planet is a JD>MBA?

It only takes one look at websites like TLS and ATL to see that a JD is usually only valuable if you get it from a T13 school (of which GULC is not one) AND you're committed to practicing law as an attorney.

Virtually any other unicorn aspirations can usually be achieved without a JD...

The Official ones are by far the best. Often suggested to take one of those very early in your studying as a baseline, then start to study with other materials and use the limited Official mocks sparingly as you go, since there are only a few of them. 3 months is more than enough time to improve on the baseline score, so see how you do on your first mock and then assess from there. I would suggest to maybe try some free questions from various places before the mock, just so you have some baseline of flavor for the questions.

1. 3/5 of the even-numbered balls are red and 1/4 of the odd numbered balls are green.
2. There are three fewer even-numbered red balls than odd-numbered red balls.

I) There are 20 even and 20 odd numbers from 161 to 200.
so 3/5 of 20 and 3/4 of 20 is our required number of red balls. Suff.

II) Let 162 and 164 be the even red balls and 161,163,165 odd red balls , so total 5 red balls.
Let 162 and 164 be the even red balls and 161,163,165,167 be odd red balls , so total 6 red balls.

Hence we cannot find the actual number of red balls.
Not suff.

Hope it's clear.

Which of the following cannot be the number of students in a discussion section.

a) 17
b) 35
c) 45
d) 85
e) 119

In order to have an EQUAL number of students in each section, the number of students per section MUST BE A FACTOR of 595

Let's do some prime factorization
595 = (5)(7)(17)
From the prime factorization, we can see that answer choice A, B, D and E are all factors of 595

Answer: C

Cheers,
Brent

Sounds good, I will take the mock CAT very soon to assess my level. Will review question types and a few concepts as a start before I take. Thanks!

Hello Friends,
I am aiming for 700 score and give the exam in two months. I am very average in verbal and quant. Do you think its possible to achieve that kind of score in two months?

If so, I need create my study plan in order to hit the goal :)

Thank you :)

I got an email saying my GMAT is too low and wrote "We strongly encourage you to reapply when you have increased the results of your GMAT Verbal and Quantitative sections." :cry:

Does anybody know if I can reapply for the 3rd Round already?

Moreover, if D would be true the coffee chain might not have the respective problem in the first place.

Anyone got tips on getting off the waitlist to admit ?

Any waitlisted folks got in yet ?

your logic for III option is correct but you gotta check for other two options. Sum of the roots can be integer even if the roots are rational numbers. { if a=1/2, b=3/2 then a+b =2}
