Faced exact same issues. I never knew highlight field option is for that ![:-(]( "Sad")
Anyways, managed to fill all fields but still pdf crashed. I finally managed to talk to AdCom member in France. She said if you have got receipt then there should be no issues. And even if there would be an issue you can send your pdf file by mail to admissions team. Reciept is the proof you submitted on time.
I am relaxed now. I anyways mailed my file as she suggested.
