Hello Clubians,
I am retaking the GMAT and I want to do it bang-on this time. So I figured out where I was lacking and I am working on it. I just don't seem to move forward. At least according to me for the following reasons:

1) I am currently attempting questions in a block of 37/41(15 RC, 13-15 CR, 11-13 SC) of mixed difficulty. I do this basically to practice endurance because the last time I took the live test, I was so tired that my mind stopped working. I find that every time one section pulls me down. And it is not the same section always. When I think I am strong in SC, I falter badly in SC. Most of the times, I get 1-2 in a block of 11-13 wrong, the last time, I got 4 questions wrong in a block of 11. Not continuously though.

2) The RC is evenly distributed. I always almost get 3-5 wrong. It always happens to be the 1st question of 1st RC or 2 continuous questions in any one of the RC. I find that this is a disturbing situation. Since a continuous stream of wrong answers could drop the scores. And if it is going to be in the 1st RC, the verbal scores are doomed. Isn't it? Since the 1st RC is almost invariably going to be in the 1st 10 questions, I find this rather disturbing.

3) The CR! My God! I just can't understand how to deal with this. Although I don't seem to have a problem when I look into the concepts (which I do every time I start to practice), but the problem just creeps up when I attempt questions. Either I am too overwhelmed or in a rush to finish off the test, I overlook a lot of aspects. Also, just for the heck of it, I tried doing the same set of 15 CRs again, before checking the answers, and to my utter horror, I found varying answers for 1/2 questions, but the same wrong answers in the 2nd time I did. (I corrected myself in 2 questions and got them right!! )

4) The timing! The biggest of all my problems. I am finishing off the section with at least (I stress AT LEAST) 10 minutes to spare. I just don't seem to understand why. I sometimes think if I slow down a bit, I could, I really could spot the right choice. But, I am really not able to!

5) So, in total, getting 2-3 SC, 3-5 RC, and 4-6 CR wrong brings the range to 9-14 wrong answers, that could potentially damage the overall score isn't it? All this, when I have not yet started doing the GMATPrep test. I know that it is a strange algo where difficult questions are punishing as well as rewarding.

My biggest concern here is NOT CONCEPTS. I have grasped the concepts pretty well. One of my problems is timing. I HAVE to correct it, eventually.. I have started to do every single question timed, even if it for 1.5 min. Ironically, I am always exceeding time in these single questions.
So apart from time, can someone here suggest ways to reduce the error-rate? I am very much concerned about the error-rate than anything else.
