This is actually my first message here.

I have couple of questions about the test ,hope you can answer me.

1. How many R.C question there is in the verbal section?

2. How obligatory is it to learn some vocabulary words for the R.C. if statistic I have 4-5 words I don't recognize in the passage?

Thanks!

gal

The approximate mix of questions on the GMAT verbal section is - 14 Reading Comprehension, 11 Critical Reasoning and 16 Sentence Correction. It is not necessary to have a very advanced vocabulary for RCs, you'll be able to make calculated guesses by the tone of the passage. However, when you practice RCs, make sure that if you come across any such words (that you don't know the meaning of) in the question stem, then you definitely look it up in the dictionary.
Hope I've answered your query!
