Good afternoon all,
I applied for round 2 of the part-time program. I received the "application complete" e-mail on May 22, 2013. It stated that I could expect a decision on May 31, 2013.
I noticed in the frequently asked questions section of the part-time program website the following which may soothe some anxiety about the interviews:
"Is an interview required?
Interviews are by invitation of the Admissions Committee only. Following the submission of a complete application, applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview if the Admissions Committee determines one is necessary."
msb.georgetown.edu/mbaep/admissions/frequently-asked-questions accessed May 27 2013.
I interpret that to mean that if the admissions committee is uncertain about your application you will be invited to allay their concerns. If you have a great application and a high probability of enhancing the cultural fabric of the McDonough community, you will be accepted without an interview.
I would do well to have the opportunity to show that I am more than what my low test scores indicate but it appears for me that time is running short. I hope that this reply to the post is helpful and wish everyone good luck.
If I am accepted I hope to see you all in class with me. If not, on June First I will start the application process over. As far as I can tell, McDonough is the only place for me.
