You may not be aware of the history of EssaySnark: We originally started a little Blogger blahg on blogspot back in 2009 in order to vent our frustration review bschool admissions essays out in the open, for all to see and benefit from. At the time, we'd been doing MBA admissions consulting for a number of years and we saw people making some very silly mistakes in their applications. We wanted to even the playing field - there wasn't nearly the same number of resources for all of you applicants as there are today and it was tough to get good information. GMAT Club was around but it was mostly GMAT stuff. We wanted to de-murk-ify the process of writing good essays.
The EssaySnark blahg has now evolved to a broader range of topics in application strategy and we only rarely post essays for review. We also, as you may have discovered, instituted a paywall, and essay reviews require a small membership fee for access. You must even be a member of the blahg before you can submit one for review. There's still plenty of advice available over there for free but the essay review goodness requires a little bit of coin if you want to see it.
But guess what? We recently jumped on board the GMAT Club bandwagon and we're honored to be the exclusive provider of essay reviews at this great site. GMAT Club is now the only place you can get a FREE ESSAY REVIEW by EssaySnark.
How do you submit yours for consideration?
This post from souvik101990 lays out the instructions.
A TIP: We know from past years that there will be a LOT of people trying for these free reviews as we get closer to the deadlines. Sitting here in July, we can tell you that NOW IS A **GREAT** TIME TO SUBMIT YOURS.
ANOTHER TIP: Don't submit a half-baked draft. You will get increasingly more helpful feedback on your strategy and content, the better your writing is.
We're looking forward to helping all you fine members of the GMAT Club community to up your games and improve your pitches to increase your chances at the best bschools. And even though we'd much prefer that you sent in some draughts of Guinness, we recognize that it's tough to transmit that via the Interwebs, and so instead we will be looking forward to receiving your DRAFTS OF GOODNESS.
Bring 'em, people! Impress us! The 'Snark awaits!
