Is xy > 0 ?

1) x - y > -2
2) x - 2y < -6

1) X = 2 and Y = 3
XY > 0

X = - 0.5 and Y = 1
XY < 0

2) X = 2 and Y = 3
XY > 0

X = -0.5 and Y = 3
XY < 0

Now combine both

X> Y - 2

X < -6 + 2y

The only values that suffice are values greater than 4 for y and greater than 2 for x. Hence C is the answer.
