Thank you for your posting.

New York is a real estate city - many of the world's largest developers and largest finance institutions are based here (banks, investment banks, brokers, private equity, etc.). Also, with land at a huge scarcity, land usage and development has gotten very creative. Lastly, Columbia is in midst of a huge expansion project - which will nearly double the size of the campus over the next decade and be home to some of the world's most innovative and pioneering academic centers. So, if working with the smartest people, the most innovative companies, controlling valuable assets and being part of a major expansion is inspiring to you, then New York City would provide the ideal backdrop to your MBA studies.

Good luck.
