Preparation for the GMAT verbal/quant is a tricky affair. You need to master the concepts as well as learn how to apply the concepts effectively in a test.
So i suggest that you do the following before you join a course.
1. Read everyday for atleast 1hr. Start with newspapers and move to US journals.
2. When you read observe the sentence formation(subject,verb)...
3. Do not answer multiple choice answers(read OG) initially. Work on building concepts and after a month of preparation tackle OG..
4. Collect all the math formula in a separate book or download flash cards online.
